I have developed a software which queries microsoft access database for words (dictionary), then again check that word for it alternate meaning contextually in another table. How can I make it fast in .net. I have tried caching, compression of database, indexing but even it is still very slow. Please tell me something other than stringbuilder.

if i have software for a mini digital camera that is smaller than most discs, will my cd rom drive eat it?

i have software for a mini digi cam that is smaller than most cd discs. i am afraid to put it into my drive for fear that i will not be able to get it out because it is so small (i am borrowing the software so i will need to get it out!)
my cdrom drive is the kind where it sucks the cd in….. i cannot see the inside of it
