I have software that will put videos from the “My Video’s” folder in to an ipod compatible form. The problem is i dont know how to download dvd’s that you have to the My Videos folder. If there is a way, i would like to know how to do it.

I have the above mentioned model. I updated the firmware recently to the highest official firmware – US06. When I updated the firmware I was able to burn two dvds at full supported speed of the drive and the media which is 8x. Now, however, the write speed on a DVD+R is only around 1x-2x. I had this problem before I updated the firmware also on top of the fact that half the burning proccesses would fail. After updating to US-06 firmware, all dvds burn but the speed isn’t anywhere near the top. I use the bundled software that came with the dvd-writer – Nero.
Yes, my media is 8x.

is there any easy software i can use to convert a DVD to a video file so i can put it on my iPod?

I’m 23 and looking into ways of starting a small business. My intrest are music, tv, video games, and money,lol. So I thought a Video game or music store could be a logial place to start. the city I live in is small(kinda) but their a bunch of retruants, 2 wal marts a kmart, and only one known Music store FYE, 2 video game store Game Stop and its other chain store. Then their is one indy Music Store, which sells new music, some new DVD’s and games, but sells alot of used Cd’s and DVD’s and Games. They use a computer software that determines what the Used item is worth and tracks the inventory they have. I was wondering what I would need to get into a small busniess like this. I have ideas for a few twist on it, and come up with some Alternate locations so it wouldn’t be competeing against that store. But have no idea where to get a start, such as inventory, money up front(other then a lender) looking for help. I also Thought I could market my store on EBAY too.
